BULLETSIZE

This is a totally new combo for me. So read this interview to find out more about BULLETSIZE and Stormgoat. Answers by Andreas. Anders Ekdahl ©2016

Every band has to introduce their music to new people. What is it that you want people to
get from listening to you guys?
-I tell people we play Thrash/Death Metal with some black metal influences if its Bulletsize if its Stormgoat I say its NWOBHM with satanic lyrics.

How hard was it for you guys to pick a name? What had that name have to have to fit your music?
I stole the name from a bands lyric, I liked it of course we have changed over the years ,from Thrash Metal to what it is today.

Everybody is influenced by certain things. What band(s) was it that turned you on to the kind
of music you play?
-NWOBHM,80 Thrash,90 Deathmetal, What inspires you today? nothing have really changed has it ?its still powerty, war, Genocide, religon and so on ,people are still stupid..

When you formed did you do so with the intent of knowing what to play or did you do so from the point of having a band name and then picking a sound? How did you settle on the name/sound combo?
-when we started out the band, Bulletsize I play in a Black/Death Metal band called Hellavator (Metal wings were a jokeband we had on the side),members started to quit when shit getting serious. I decided to start Bulletsize with more Thrashmetal vibes and without any boundrys, for me music have no rules if it sounds good it’s a keeper.

I believe that digital is killing the album format. People’s changing habit of how they listen to music will result in there being no albums. Is there anything good with releasing single tracks only?
-No people are lazy and are not intrested in anything at all ,I’m not sure about single tracks, I’m old school I like albums ,Vinyl,CD or even Cassette.

What part does art-work and lay-out play when you release new recordings? How do you best catch people’s attention?
-With tits i guess !,the Bulletsize album covers is always war and death because thats what is all about.

Has social media re-written the rules on how to promote your music? Or do you go about doing promotion the same way?
-i guess we do it old school ,but of course we had to change how we promote stuff ,what i really hate is that , the band/artist with most money can get the best attention ,and we have to pay like facebook for people to se our updates.

When you play in a band, does that make you feel like you are a part of a scene, of something bigger and grander?
-Hm when i were working with tours for bands I felt more part of the scene, these days its more of a competion beetween bands, and for me is like a joke, I play music to survive ,to breeath so i dont kill myself or someone else, so i dont line up in Jail, is not important if its a big scene or a small club its job and you are there to entertain people and if people like your songs that’s the biggest thing.

How much of a touring band are you? Is touring/gigging still a great way of spreading the word of the band?
-we always tour this year we have take it a bit easy and working(we do have regular work),but for the last 7-8 years we have touring both small clubs but also festivals.

What will the future bring?
-Juctice
