I am a word buff so when I find a band name that excites me I want to know the reason behind the choice. So how did you pick your name?
-I’m in the band since 2001 and I don’t know why they’ll choose Desaster for the desaster. Hahaha… Maybe they think it sounds good…
There are so many genres and sub-genres today that it is hard to keep track of them all. So what was it that made you pick the style you play?
-I’m really not interessted in giving every style a name. Some call it Black Thrash, others Extreme Metal.
What influences you in creating your music? What is/has been the single greatest influence?
-Everything is giving you inspiration. Life itself, friends, troubles, … Maybe the greatest musical influences are SLAYER and VENOM.
How important is it to have a message as a band?
-The only massage is to do what you want. But I don’t think that we are a typical band with a deep message
Is image an important factor to the bands appearance?
-For me it’s not important, the only thing that matters is the music and the energy it creates.
How important is it to have an album cover that stands out to grab people’s attention in this day and age?
-It’s not that important like in former days. A lot of people using audio files these days. But for me doing a record it’s very important to have a good artwork.
What kind of respect do you get from your local scene?
-It’s good to hear that people like the band and the music, but I don’t want special respect for doing the music I love. We are still fans, less musicians and definetly no rock stars.
How massive is it to get response from places you have never heard of?
-If you don’t know the place, how could it response?
Is playing live still a great way to get new fans to discover you?
-Maybe if you play some bigger festivals there is a chance to reach more people who don’t know your band. Of course we need to find them at the gigs, because we not that often on TV or Radio. Haahaha…
What does the future have in its womb?
-Would be great to know?!?! We will see…Hahahaha…
