fuck offFUCK OFF is a name that you won’t miss any which way yet they are totally umfamiklair to me. ©2016 Anders Ekdahl

How hard was it to come up with a band name and how does the name fit the music?
-My name is Pep, I play guitar on the band FUCK OFF, we was the first spanish thrash-metal band in the 80’s and we still doing the same as in the 80’s.

As I am new to your band perhaps a short introduction might be in order?
– FUCK OFF was formed on the 80’s and from then till now 17 members was passing by. I’m the only original member who stand still.
Since the beginings till now was recording 5 albums, one of them in Worcester, near Birmingham (England), in the same studio where Judas Priest recorded the album Angel Of Retribution. Also we was recording one album in Mediterranean Studios (Ibiza) where Judas Priest recorded the albums Screaming For Vengeance and Deffenders Of The Fath. The band was playing all around Spain and in Germany. We was supporting the bands: Saxon, Exodus, Kreator, Tankard, Onslaught, Running Wild, Rage, UFO, Tokyo Blade…

As I am no musician I have no idea how it works, but how do you make your own music based on what influences you? What parts do you pick?
– Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Slayer… and we still doing the same as in the 80’s.

When you are in a band does it feel lkke you are a part of a worldwide movement?
-We still doing the same as in the 80’s.

How important is it that you look the part in promo shots and stuff? How important is the graphic side of the band?
-Our discographic company, XTREEM MUSIC, is doing good about it.

What would you say influences your lyrics? How important are they?
– Everything about life, death, religion, politicians, bankers, wankers… It depends, not always the same, sometimes it begins about one idea with the words, sometimes playing riffs with my guitar.

Is the album as relevant today as it was in the 70s and 80s? Is digital killing the album?
-We still doing the same as in the 80’s.

Where will the future of format end – digital verses physical verses whatever?
-We think the best is just go back to the analogic records. We just never change and don´t follow fashions and new tendencies, if you play the real heavy/thrash-metal like in the eighties. We still doing the same as in the 80’s.

How much of a touring entity are you guys? What is a live experiencevwith you like?
-The last year we don´t touring so much, many gigs canceled last two years, because crisis everywhere. Now we are recording a new álbum.

What lies in the future?
-I hope better than now for the metal music.
