There are so many bands out there that it is hard to keep up with them all, so here I present to you IN OBSCURITY REVEALED. Anders Ekdahl ©2016

Every band has to introduce their music to new people. What is it that you want people to get from listening to you guys?
-Cosmovision has guided us to the path in which we are now, in terms of music I can say that the influences are certainly Metal of Death and Black Metal.
We are no seeking the revivalist sense, music is a message, a language that has dark elements , in this case.

How hard was it for you guys to pick a name? What had that name have to have to fit your music?
-The name is related to the Finnish band Vorum. The meaning fits with our concept as a band

Everybody is influenced by certain things. What band(s) was it that turned you on to the kind of music you play? What inspires you today?
We can mention bands like Morbid Angel and Necrovore. Nowadays, there´s a huge number of bands in the underground world that are doing the things conceptually great, musical and lyrically. Cosmovision as mentioned before, is not just a matter of having a metal band, things have to be coherent.

When you formed did you do so with the intent of knowing what to play or did you do so from the point of having a band name and then picking a sound? How did you settle on the name/sound combo?
-From the beginning we had the idea of creating a sound like we have, obviously we have evolved to the point where we want to go, we are currently working on a full album.

I believe that digital is killing the album format. People’s changing habit of how they listen to music will result in there being no albums. Is there anything good with releasing single tracks only?
-Being able to listen to music online is certainly a useful tool, the people who is really into music is always looking to buy the physical formats for all that comes with.

What part does art-work and lay-out play when you release new recordings? How do you best catch people’s attention?
-The matter of art is certainly something that comes naturally with the concept, working with illustrators is a necessary experience that releases what you have in mind when you´re translating your stuff (music), graphically.

Has social media re-written the rules on how to promote your music? Or do you go about doing promotion the same way?
-The underground circuit in which we are immersed has always had that power to be something organic, we are not trying to fill the social networks with advertisement about the band, people who are interested in the genre comes to know the material without forcing things.

When you play in a band, does that make you feel like you are a part of a scene, of something bigger and grander?
-Forming a band is a process to communicate through music, concepts can change dramatically, there are bands that have more orthodox ideas. This means that there is often a process of depersonalization.

How much of a touring band are you? Is touring/gigging still a great way of spreading the word of the band?
-We have local shows and we have scheduled some performances inside the country. At the moment we are devoting time to compose the full album

What will the future bring?
-After having ready the full album we will think about having a more solid tour. It can be across our country or abroad.
