With an album soon to drop NIGHT CROWNED are very much in the now. Anders Ekdahl ©2018

Let’s start with your latest recording. When you look back at it now what kind of feelings do you have for it?
Ken: I can say from the depths of my heart that this is something I am proud of, each song is not like the other but still there is a red thread through them all.

I am fascinated by band names. What was it that made you settle on the one you have and what does it mean to you?
Henric – when I started to write music for this project this name just came to me. The meaning for us is that the dark has chosen us. We are the night Crowned ones.

What does it mean to you that there are people out there that actually appreciate and look forward to what you are doing?
Ken: it is amazing, breath taking. But over all it means everything to us cause without the fans it is impossible to reach out

How important is image to the band? What impression do you want the fans to get of the band?
Henric – we think that image, music, artwork, lyrics, all need to be aligned. So off course all these parts are important to us.

I am a huge fan of LP art work. How important is it to have the right art work for your album?
Ken: from my point of view it is very importent, on an LP you kind of is selling a piece of art. For me the art work reflects the titel or the concept if the album.
Our ep was ment to be Self titeld in the beginning but I face Henric a sugestion to give it the titel ”Humanity Will Echo Out” cause i felt it reflected on the art work along with the songs

We live in a superficial world today where you don’t exist if you are not on Youtube and Facebook. Has social media been only beneficial in socializing with the fans or is there a down side to it too?
Ken: with the right channels you can reach a lot faster to people. The thing that can be a down side is to keep your followers, fans updated without pushing the limit so that they dont get tierd of it.

When you play in a band does it feel like you are a part of a massive community? That you belong to something that gives meaning to your life?
Henric – I have been listening to death Metal since I was 12 years old. I have always found friends from the community and the family just keeps getting bigger. The meaning has always been to make myself happy, and metal is the only thing outside my family that does that.

When you are in the middle of it do you notice what state our beloved music scene is in? Is the scene healthy or does it suffer from some ailment?
Henric: For me it feels like it is healthy. A lot of great albums in the past year like Necrophobic, Dimmu Borgir and many more.

How much of a touring band are you guys? How hard is it to get gigs outside of your borders?
Henric – so far we Don’t have anything to tour on. But as soon as the album is out We will start taking on gigs. To get gigs is always hard, if you Don’t have unlimited funds to pay for opening slots on big tours.

What will the future bring?
Henric – We are right now just about to finish Up our first fullength album. 8 New songs that will show the melodic death/black Metal comunity that the you can respect the old But still make it yours.
