I have no idea if this band’s name has anything to do with Dante’s nine circles of hell. But SEVENTH HELL are cool enough to warrant my interest. Anders Ekdahl ©2016

Was it hard to come up with a name? What does the name mean to you?
-We were searching for an original but short name, with power, easy to remember, a name that represents our music… It was hard and we spent time to choose our special name.

Who would say have laid the foundation for the kind of sound you have?
-Well, the style and the sound always was there, in latent state. We have travel through different stages because, along to the short band’s live, different members has come and gone and this thing has helped us to know exactly what works for us and what not thanks of the different music influences of each. Step by step we’re trying to build our own sound.

When you play slow do you have to think differently arranging the music than if you play faster and vice versa?
-We always try to work with the song arrangements based on its needs. They are our little creations and we feel we have to give them what they need at all times, so, the arrangement is not based on the tempo but on the song.

Will your music work in a live environment? What kind of stage environment would best suit your music; a big stage or a small club?
-Well… it works on our rehearsal room hahaha. We hope to show to the audience an intense and funny live show, trying to let them thinking “what has happend here??? a hurricane??” hahaha. We have played our new songs in front of the audience a lot of times thanks to the contest “Emergenza 2016” and their response has been incredible so, maybe we have done something well hahaha.
About the kind of stage… We prefer medium to large, where we can let our sound go but, we’re a little band and we play where we can. We love small stages too, especially for the accoustic show. Who told that the size is the most important thing?? hahaha

Everybody seem to be disappointed with something once they have released a recording. What would you have liked done differently the last time around?
-We have only an EP and the experience creating and recording it was incredible. We decided to invest on a good studio and a good producer to get the sound we wanted and we are very proud about the results. Yes, all on this planet is improvable and we have learnt that our nerves and excitement can waste hours and hours of work.

Is it hard to reach out to all those that might be interested in your music? What alleys have you used to get people familiarized with your band?
-It’s very hard. We have internet, social media and all that stuff that it’s suppose it’ll help us to grow and reach people but, today it’s necessary more effort and too much money to make an effective social media campaign. Imagine, you have (and want) to compose your new songs, you have to pay a good recording studio if you want to be listened for someone (and for someone importat who let you make a level up), prepare a photoshoot, try to record a music video, work with your social media accounts and interact with the audience… And you have to do aaaaaall this staff alone… So yes, it’s very hard to reach out to all those that might be interested in our music. We want to say thank you to you and all of the websites that helps little bands to reach out more people. WE LOVE YOU!!

What to you is a great front cover? What should a cover have to make it great?
-Whatever cover that looks professional and say something about the band’s style.

Do you feel that you are part of a national scene? What is the climate for metal in your country?
-Well… We have to do and to learn more to feel that we’re “someone” here, but the truth is that in Spain, the rock and metal bands have to work more than a pop or indie ones. To be valued and to get the Spanish total respect, a rock or a metal Spanish band has to get recognition out of Spain. This is sad, but it’s our reality.

How do one promote oneself the best possible way?Working, working and working more. Making a good facebook post, working to make your mailing list grow up and sending interesant mails to your audience…

What does the future hold?
-The future… We’re searching for the glory to become a rock leyends hahaha. No, seriously, we hope we can be heard by somebody who wants to invest in our product and each person counts. Without going any further, today we have launched a “pre-sale” campaign, only 100 copies of our “We Are Burning!” EP will be made ( we can’t aford to make more) and all of you can purchase to obtain one, paying through paypal, helping us to grow up.
