Could you please introduce the band to us?
-Hello We are Sinners Moon, young symphonic metal band from SLOVAKIA, central Europe.
When you form how easy is it to pick up a thread as to where your sound is going?
-Not really sure if I understand the question but if you mean about the process of creating music, then it goes itself, sometimes one song can be done within a week, sometimes, not even 2 years 🙂
How do you explain the meaning of the band name?
-Well name Sinners Moon came out from a gospel song which I heard a long time ago, they were singing something like “you hear the sinner´ s moan…” and there it was, clearly great name with a little word play.
How important is image to the band? What impression donyou want the fans to get of the band?
-Well we don´t want to play a big stars or something like this. We always behave ourselves for most of the time so we want fans to see us how we really are.
I am a huge fan of LP art work. How important is it to have the rught art wirk fir your album?
-Well me as a fan of great artwork, I considered this as a great challenge. We wanted to have a great booklet and artwork and so we managed to do it ourselves with the help from our close friends. And I think we made it pretty good.
How do you avoid being affected by the hype likes on youtube and facebook can create on social media?
-We are not that far right now, so no affection of any kind at the moment.
When you play in a metal band does it feel like you are a part of massive community?
-Well we are the part of huge community, and everyone who listens to metal music feels it too.
How important is it to be signed to label today? What can they do
that you cannot do on your own?
-Well this was most likely our top priority to get signed by a label to help us through. For some bands it´s not that important for their lower goals in music but since we put ourselves on this road, I think it is pretty much straight way forward to the shows, to the fans, to everything.
How much of a touring band are you guys? How hard is it to get gogs outside of the borders?
-Well we are here in Slovakia pretty restricted due to a fact that this kind of music is more like underground. So we cannot take ourselves like on a trip across the europe or so. unfortunatelly
What will the future bring?
-Well that is the question, isn´t it? Only a good and positive things I hope.
