There can never be too much of symphonic power metal. SUNWALTER provide the fix for it this week. Answers by Miran. Anders Ekdahl ©2017

Let’s start with your latest recording. When you look back at it now what kind of feelings do you have for it?
-First of all, we take great pride in this work and also in the fact that we managed to satisfy all the requirements of our extraterrestrial patrons concerning the material. We also feel an upsurge of creative effort and a strong wish to compose something new. Moreover, I, for one, experience a range of unfamiliar sensations, which are rather difficult to describe (perhaps, that’s because of my microchip, implanted during the abduction).

I am fascinated by band names. What was it that made you settle on the one you have and what does it mean to you?
-As for me, the name is a reference point reminding us that although the Universe is enormous, everyone can play their significant part in its existence. Indeed, for new listeners it may be less global as a reference and at least suggest the lyric line of our tracks.

What does it mean to you that there are people out there that actually appreciate and look forward to what you are doing?
-Surely, we are pleased a lot with the attention of people dwelling the Earth, as well as laudatory feedback from the outside world. People tend to pay more attention to the topics of universal scale along with everyday worries, and that’s really great. Any human being should aim their existence at reaching maximum comfort, but don’t forget, that the flow of your life may be changed in a blink of an eye by virtue of our cosmic overseers (like it happened to us about a year ago — the evidence thereof was recorded and stored on our YouTube-channel).
It seems like the Universe itself gave us the variant “Sunwalter” many years ago. However, now we can say that the information was transmitted by the representatives of the Grey race — we just couldn’t realize it back then.

How important is image to the band? What impression do you want the fans to get of the band?
-The image is of great importance, since it can amplify the message for the listener. We need to make as many people as possible think about the grandeur of the Universe, so during the show we use some elements reminding the audience of the scale and secrets of the space. Fortunately, our patrons provide us with specific extraterrestrial light technologies and substances allowing us produce the required impression.

I am a huge fan of LP art work. How important is it to have the right art work for your album?
-In most situations, a potential listener sees the cover first, and then turns on the music. That’s why we would like the audience understand at first glance, what they are dealing with. We tried our best to reflect our concept in the cover art, moreover, this time we looked for the artist among those who particularly specialize in sci-fi subject.

We live in a superficial world today where you don’t exist if you are not on Youtube and Facebook.
-Has social media been only beneficial in socializing with the fans or is there a down side to it too?
Obviously, social networks have a lot of advantages, like the opportunity of talking directly to the audience, informing them about some new stuff in a convenient form, keep track of different events, etc. We maintain contact with our listeners via messages encrypted in our tracks, and sometimes send the information directly to their brains. Social networks are of great aid in this process, when other aforementioned methods are for whatever reason unavailable.
Of course, there is a downside in it — the maintenance of all those profiles requires a lot of time and effort. Fortunately, the Grey from time to time send Three-Fifty to assist us with generating content for our resources! Right now I am transmitting the information to him via the implanted microchip, and Three-Fifty is typing the text […ȻΛḺÏβЯΛ₮ÏǾƝ]

When you play in a band does it feel like you are a part of a massive community? That you belong to something that gives meaning to your life?
-Certainly, playing in the band became our primary sphere of action for the period of our terrestrial existence. It is specifically pleasant to realize our involvement in the common goal, since we are entrusted with the important mission of transferring secret knowledge about the Universe.
Moreover, in the course of our activities we meet lots of noteworthy representatives of Earthmen (and other races), usually welcoming the contact with extraterrestrial civilizations, which we are, in our turn, partially representing. This forms a great advantage for working in a large music community.

When you are in the middle of it do you notice what state our beloved music scene is in? Is the scene healthy or does it suffer from some ailment?
-The health of the music environment directly depends on us and other representatives. Music activities, like other areas of our lives, are very susceptible to changes in the course of time and progress. If the artist is flexible enough, there won’t be any insolvable problem.
As time goes by, some particular side of music activities may generate obstacles, but at the same time another side may bring about new opportunities. As long as we still can get out our message one way or another, everything will be fine.

How much of a touring band are you guys? How hard is it to get gigs outside of your borders?
-We have just begun our touring activity — in October we visited Germany, the Netherlands, Czech Republic and Poland in support of our recently released second album “Alien Hazard”. Fortunately, among the inhabitants of the named countries we managed to find the residents fascinated with our mission — it was they who helped us with the organization of our shows. Although the tour required a lot of time and terrestrial monetary resources, we are boundlessly happy with this experience and we’ll try our best to make our next tours happen as soon as possible and be far more broad-scale and spectacular.

What will the future bring?
-The future, as has always been the case, conceals a lot of secrets and answers to the questions of both particular and universal scale. We’ll keep track of all changes in our Universe and spread the most interesting information by means of our songs. Just stay in touch, and may the Universe be with you!
