Let’s start with your latest recording. When you look back at it now what kind of feelings do you have for it?
-We’re very proud of the final production, the sound and the songs are quite strong and full of great intentions. But we also feel that, being this our first record with the current musicians we have plenty of room to experiment and improve the way we react to each other. So, after all, the feeling is this record is just the beginning of something bigger
I am fascinated by band names. What was it that made you settle on the one you have and what does it mean to you?
-Being quite agressive and energic people, but also using a lot of comedy and irony in our lives, so we felt that we needed a name to represent that, the nice guys that will blow your mind!! and we also have a great crush for candys!!
What does it mean to you that there are people out there that actually appreciate and look forward to what you are doing?
-It means a lot! Sometimes the artists work just for themselves, writing what they need to hear or tell more than thinking if it will be well received, but then feels even better to connect with the audience!!
How important is image to the band? What impression do you want the fans to get of the band?
-The image we try to focus on is the one of a strong and energic bunch of guys having a lot of fun in their job and task of bringing chaos, violence and comedy to the audience… don’t expect us to be too posers or disguised as something we’re not, but we know is always important not to see an artist as just someone else. Think between bob dylan and manowar, theres a lot of room to play!!
I am a huge fan of LP art work. How important is it to have the right art work for your album?
-The best albums you will remember start with a great artwork. It may be simple, misterious, ridiculous or grotesque. But if it has magic, it tells you something great will happen inside
We live in a superficial world today where you don’t exist if you are not on Youtube and Facebook. Has social media been only beneficial in socializing with the fans or is there a down side to it too?
-The media have improved the connection between fans and shortened the distances, but theres clearly a dark side in it: everything is now, now is everything… we used to live in a world where you could only discover classic albums one by one, waiting another week ot two to get another judas priest or carcass album. that magic is gone!!
When you play in a band does it feel like you are a part of a massive community? That you belong to something that gives meaning to your life?
-Not with that band! We really hate each other, but our terapyst say is good for the anger management.
When you are in the middle of it do you notice what state our beloved music scene is in? Is the scene healthy or does it suffer from some ailment?
-The scene is healthy but also full of lazy, untalented, boring people that prefers to complain… we’re too busy having fun
How much of a touring band are you guys? How hard is it to get gigs outside of your borders?
-Touring, meeting new people and visiting new places is one of the best things of our job!! As long as some of the members of the band also play in another bands, we’ve been playing a lot in our country in the past but now we have some great offers and plans about touring, so we hope to visit you very soon.
What will the future bring?
-More music, more violence, more fun, more candys, more friends in every gig… the world is going crazy and we have a lot of flying kicks that need to be delivered. You will hear about us!
