CRYSTAL VIPER – The Witch Is Back

CRYSTAL VIPER’s new special, limited edition EP entitled ‘At The Edge Of Time’ is out now on AFM Records. CRYSTAL VIPER is a female fronted Heavy Metal act from Poland, founded in 2003 by the singer, guitarist and composer, Marta Gabriel. Between 2007 and 2013 CRYSTAL VIPER released 5 studio albums, 7 singles and compilations, and toured in more than 15 countries, what established their position, and made them known as one of the most hard working and most determined bands of their generation.

In 2013, due to health issues relating to the band’s front woman and founder, Marta Gabriel, CRYSTAL VIPER was forced to stop its activity. The band returned in 2017 with “Queen Of The Witches” – probably their strongest and best release. The album has been promoted on a full European Tour, during which the band visited: Belgium, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Spain and Poland, and by two video clips.

We are one year later, and Marta Gabriel and her crew prove us that they are stronger than ever! Tthe current studio album is still hot, but Crystal Viper strikes back with a special, limited edition EP entitled ‘At The Edge Of Time’

The effort, available as 10″ vinyl and digital download, includes 5 new recordings: the title track (in both English and Polish version), which is a headbanging speed metal monster, alternate version of the new fans’ favorite ‘When The Sun Goes Down’ (original version to be found on the ‘Queen Of The Witches’ album), another new song entitled ‘When Are You’, and ‘Tell Me Why’ – previously unreleased cover of the NWoBHM hard rockers QUARTZ.

The cover artwork, once again painted by the amazing Andreas Marschall (BLIND GUARDIAN, KREATOR, OBITUARY), is matching the lyrics of the title track (and its Polish version entitled “Zwiastun Burzy”) and “When Are You”, which are based on the works of the legendary fantasy writer Michael Moorcock. So yes, you guessed it right: Marta is holding the soul eating black sword, the Stormbringer.
