Battle Helm Rating

For some reason I get a religious vibe whenever I see this bands name. As the title indicate this is their second long player and a long one it is with three songs clocking in at over 12 mins and with a remaining two a bit shorter. From the band name and the album title I draw the conclusion that I might be in for some sort for post black metal. And I was right in assuming that. This I like from the very go. There is something sombre yet haunting about this album that draws me to it. It is like with horror movies. Once you start watching you cannot stop, even if you know that something horrible will happen. I feel the same way about this album, except for the horrible part. Once you start listening to this you can’t stop because you want to know where it’ll take you. Anders Ekdahl
