I am a huge fan of funeral doom. Has been so for a very long time. If you like bands like Candlemass and Black Sabbath you will most probably hate funeral doom. But for us that are into the really slow and heavy we will absolutely love it. I don’t know what there is in the water in France but some of my weirdest metal experiences has been French; Treponem Pal and Deathspell Omega to name two. ABYSSMAL GROWLS OF DISPAIR are equally odd but in a whole different way. This drags along like there is no tomorrow. Don’t expect this to set any world speed records. If you thought Cathedral’s debut was slow that is nothing compared to this. But I like it. Anders Ekdahl
