“The Oracle”
(Suicidal Bride Records)
I’m the first to admit that I don’t get the whole metalcore/deathcore thing. To me that’s just dressing up your music in fancy clothes. If you don’t know what to call it, call it metal. Canadian All Else Fails is just that; metal. Whether you like your metal bone hard or fancy it a bit more melodic you get it all from the band. “The Oracle” is that difficult third album for All Else Fails but they don’t seem to mind that. This is modern metal with all that entails. The melodies are there, the aggression that is metal is to be found and the interesting song-writing to keep the interest up is top notch. I don’t know what else to ask for from All Else Fails. I’ve for a long time been suspicious of this new, modern metal but the more I hear of it the more I like it. Anders Ekdahl
