AN AUTUMN FOR CRIPPLED CHILDREN “Everything”

AN AUTUMN FOR
CRIPPLED CHILDREN
“Everything”
(ATMF)
I don’t know how I should react to all these new sub-genres of black metal that keeps popping up. The latest seem to be shoegazing black metal. Like a mixture of My Bloody Valentine and the most atmospheric black metal you could think of. Think a lot of corpse painted young men staring into the floor for 90 minutes and you get a picture of what to expect live from a shoegazing black metal band. What would we not be without all these new genres? I wasn’t too impressed by AAFCC’s debut “Lost” but this one is so much better. While almost instrumental in the use of vocals this album explains the whole shoegazing black metal phenomenon. You just have to listen to “Everything” to understand it. I’m gonna spin this one over and over ‘til I tire of it completely. Anders Ekdahl
