Why dead by Wednesday and not Thursday? I’m not sure what I think of the band name. It is not one of the better ones I’ve come across. I hope there’s a really good story to it. Reading the references in the press release I’m not too sure that this is for me. Pantera, Killswitch Engage or Lamb Of God are not my favourite bands for a great Wednesday night. But then prejudices are there to be challenged and destroyed. I might actually be the greatest Pantera, Killswitch Engage and Lamb Of God fan there is in the World. Which brings us back to Dead By Wednesday’s mix of metal, hardcore and punk. From the first note in the first song’s intro I knew that this would be to my liking. There’s a drive to Dead By Wednesday’s music that is just irresistible. And when they throw in a guitar solo or two in the songs they have me hooked. That it too makes me think of some of my favourite hardcore and metal bands is just an added bonus. Anders Ekdahl
