Battle Helm Rating

There is so much music out there that I have no clue about existing. DIE SONE SATANS is an act that I had no idea was out there. Or even that the debut album “Metaphora” was considered a classic. But you learn something new each second you live. Back in the mid-nineties I was heavily into the whole ambient scene. I tried to follow everything that Cold Meat Industries released and I collected Mortiiis releases. I even tried listening to Einstürzende Neubauten’s industrial outings. And even though I liked it I somehow lost touch with it. But every now and then up pops something that brings that time period to mind. Like this 25 year debut album by DIE SONNE SATANS. This is a sonical journey through religious symbolism. With that in mind I set out on a journey through my mind. What I like about this kind of stuff is that it allows/forces me to use my imagination to envision what the sounds are trying to say. Cool stuff indeed. Anders Ekdahl
