Battle Helm Rating

They say that you never forget your first love. I believe that that is true too for music. You never forget the bands that got you into music. It sure explains why I still love heavy metal as much as I do. And even though most of my 80s and 90s was spent listening to black and death metal almost exclusively heavy metal has always been there with me. So when Hammerfall burst unto the scene it opened up that part of my metal heart. JACK STARR’S BURNING STARR is a band that I have been aware of since the 80s. I haven’t been a follower but more one standing at the side line looking on. But I have always had a good eye to the metal that this band has produced. And with this the 7th album they prove that good old heavy metal is still some of the greatest music ever made. This is classic melodic, up tempo metal that hasn’t changed a bit over the last 35 years and have no need to change either. So if you have liked any heavy metal album over the last 35 years you’ll like this too. Anders Ekdahl
