I’m a sucker for a good progressive metal album. There is something to the technical skills of a bunch of musicians that is hard to resist when everything clicks. It might lay in the challenge of making complicated tonal art come to life in comprehensible musical compositions. To make the hard easy. Lost In Thought makes it easy to like their prog metal. I immediately came to think of Symphony X and Evergrey as reference points. Lost In Thought are easily accessible. The melodies are strong, the solos are aplenty, be it guitar or keyboard, the vocals not too high pitched and the song structures aren’t too complex. There really isn’t anything to keep you from not liking “Opus Arise”. Anders Ekdahl
