This is strange because within days of each other I received two promo packages from bands calling themselves MATTERHORN. One Swiss band and one Aussie band. I am gonna start with the Aussie band. This Adelaide based band play a sort of classic heavy metal that is mid tempo and rather groovy. There is a slight progressive undertone to it. But the over all impression is that this is heavy metal done the good old way. In a way this reminds me of the heavier moments of Judas Priest and Pantera. And it is there I’ll place this.
