Battle Helm Rating

Most bands don’t start out with a vocalist and then turn around and drop the vocalist for a non-vocal sound but that is apparently what PARAGNOSIS did. They dropped the vocalist and carried on as an instrumental progressive metal band. I am not gonna say that because they are progressive it works without a vocalist because but it sure helps that it is progressive as the music in most progressive cases are full of instrumental parts. I like progressive and I like instrumental, but this is a tad too much for me. It gives me jazz vibes and in that it feels like it is all over the place. And since I am not a big fan of jazz this appeals to me only in bits n pieces. But when it does appeal to me I find myself being totally swept away. A release that I have a hard time to decide on.
