Even in a sunny country as Spain there has to be a darkness. Not everything can be Sangria and fiestas. I don’t know what it is, but I know that it is there somewhere. PERPETUAL NIGHT might have it in them. Based on their lyrical themes “Darkness, Death, Winter, Wolves, Philosophy” I say that they have some darkness in them. Musically this is melodic death metal. Without the cheeriness that some have. This is much more melancholic. And that suits me just fine. I am a very melancholic person even if it doesn’t always show. So if you can imagine My Dying Bride playing melodic death metal you are a bit on the way to understanding this Spanish band’s metal. Anders Ekdahl
