RADIO HAZE “Mountains”

(Slash Zero)

Battle Helm Rating

I am not at all familiar with this band. But there is something about them that draws me towards them. And as I start listening to this it dawns on me. This is rootsy in a way that speaks to my inner cowboy. I don’t know if I should mention it as it has no relevance but the moment the track “Lay My Hopes Across The Sea” started I got a Bon Jovi “Wanted Dead Or Alive” feeling. And it is that feeling I get from listening to this album; not the Bon Jovi feeling but the feeling of being alone with the night sky. The wide open spaces. It could be that I am reading too much into this but I don’t really care. This turned out to be a really cool album from a band that I will keep an eye and an ear out for. Anders Ekdahl
