RUNNING DEATH “Dressage”

Battle Helm Rating

This is an album that I do look forward to dissect. From what I have heard already this could very well be this week’s high light. German thrash used to be a really big part of my record collection back in the 80s and 90s. And I do still have all those old Teutonic thrash albums in my collection. Which make it nice to be able to add this to that collection. And even though there is more of an American feel to this album it is still thrash from Germany. This really rocks my socks. There is a feel of nostalgia to this that I like while at the same time being very contemporary. This is metal that makes you happy. It gets your heart pumping blood to all those parts of the body that usually are slow and dull. And that is a major effort I can tell you. And that this at times makes me think of Metallica’s debut album “Kill em All” is a major bonus point. Anders Ekdahl
