Battle Helm Rating

Ever since I first discovered Black Sabbath in the 80s, when I started to dig deeper into the history of metal I have been fascinated with the heavy and doomy end of metal. So whenever I come upon an album by a band that play slow and heavy I sit up and take even more notice. This could very well be something massively cool. This is heavy in a Sleep kinda fashion. And not in Candlemass kinda way. In a way this makes me think Fudge Tunnel with its sludgy, dirty sound. Add some spaced out stuff and you get a pretty psychedelic picture of where to find this album. It is not my everyday kinda music but when I’m in that mood this works wonders right between Sleep and Fudge Tunnel in my playlist. Anders Ekdahl
