I find it strange that I don’t get to hear of more metal bands from Balkan than I do. But when I do get to hear some I more often than not like what I hear. The first thing that hit me when I heard this album from THE FATHER OF SERPENTS was how much it made me think of Paradise Lost. But then it all changed to something else and off my mind wandered. There is still that Paradise Lost feel to the music but not only. This is an album that required some time to get into but now that I have spent some time with it I like it. There is an older feel to it. And today that is the new new. Anders Ekdahl
