THOUSAND YEAR WAR “Tyrants And Men”

THOUSAND YEAR WAR
“Tyrants And Men”
(Abyss)
With a name like Thousand Year War you are forgiven for thinking that this will be the worst kind of Christ-bashing ever seen on CD. This is not any criticism but the moment I put this on I thought I had accidentally accessed the new Amon Amarth album. This has that same groove and feel as all Amon Amarth’s records. And seeing that I am a huge Amon Amarth fan this could only get one review; two thumps up. If you like your death metal groove-oriented in a never-before-seen way and have played your Amon Amarth records to a grind then lend this an ear or two. Let you mind be free and you’ll enjoy this as much as I do. That you constantly think of Amon Amarth (fifth mention so far) is not a drawback. Instead it is an added bonus. I could live on Amon Amarth (sixth) a whole week and not tire. This is right up there. Anders Ekdahl
