I might not remember everything that I’ve reviewed but I do actually remember Trials debut album. It is one that I still return to. So with a new record to be reviewed it is with some trepidation that I take it on. What if they’ve gone totally weak on me? What if this is crap? But crap this is far from. You can call this modern metal, metalcore or any other form but to me this is just great metal. OK, it might have all the attributes of that much taunted metalcore but as I’ve come around a bit I have no problems with it. TRIALS have with their sophomore album proven that the first one wasn’t a flux. They are as strong, if not stronger this time around. And I’m digging it like a grinning fool. Anders Ekdahl
