X-STATE RIDE “Omonimo”

(In Delirium Records)
I have a very special relationship to hardcore. I have in periods tried to get into it and I’ve even succeeded forming a relationship to it but then other stuff has come between and I’ve kind of forgotten about keeping the relationship alive. That is why I have no idea what today’s hardcore scene is all about. I have no relationship to Propaghandi but I’ve heard that they are supposed to be great. At least they are very political. Get the impression that X-STATE RIDE to are on the political side. And to me that is what hardcore should be about. A comment on the times we live in. Musically this is much more melodic than I had expected. But I like it. There is a charm to this album that mixes aggression with melody in a very smart way. Anders Ekdahl
